Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Ethical approval for the conduct of the study was gained from the University of Cambridge Psychology Research Ethics Committee. We sought passive parental consent, and written informed assent to participate in the study from Year 9 students, and mentors. This covered process evaluation measures. We will seek informed consent from the Head of school on behalf of the participating school to complete all process evaluation measures, e.g. observations. Written informed consent will be obtained by contact teacher participants prior to participating in process evaluation. We will gain ‘consent by questionnaire completion’ for teachers and facilitators. Full study information will be provided at the start of the evaluation and discussed fully with each participant group.
