Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The research proposal was approved by the Institution Review Board (IRB) of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS) and Arba Minch University (AMU) on March 25, 2017, as ethically sound research for implementation. In addition, the Arba Minch Zuria District government and each village in the study area granted permission. Informed consent was obtained from the study participants. Confidentiality was maintained throughout the study by excluding personal identifiers from the data collection form. Pregnant women's comfort was prioritized during the data collection and intervention period. In this study, the authors confirmed that all methods were carried out in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations (Declaration of Helsinki).
