: NZ has a background in public health and obtained her PhD in health and wellbeing in 2015. She is currently a research fellow in social epidemiology based in Cathie Marsh Institute, School of Social Sciences, The University of Manchester, Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9PL, the UK.
: This research uses data from China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS). The institutional review committees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the National Institute for Nutrition and Food Safety, China Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, approved the survey protocols and instruments and the process for obtaining informed consent for the survey.
