The Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs provided exemptions from confidentiality for caseworkers and carers. In accordance with Norwegian Ethics requirement, oral assent is required from children aged 12 years or older. The youths were informed in their invitation letters that they could inform their carers if they did not want them to participate in the study.
