: The study protocol was reviewed and approved by the Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Nursing, Hail University, Hail, Saudi Arabia (Ethical Approval No.: H-2022-267). Permission was obtained from the administrations and unit managers of hospitals and PHC centres before starting the study. This study was guided by the relevant ethical guidelines and regulations, including the Declaration of Helsinki. Written informed consent was obtained from participants after being briefed about the study, risks and benefits. Participation was voluntary, with no incentives given to participants to complete the survey, and nurses were given the right to withdraw at any time without giving any reason. The privacy and confidentiality of the participants were guaranteed.
