Ethics approval and consent to participate
: We secured oral informed consent from the participants prior to the in-depth interviews. In the study setting, women prefer an oral consent and are hesitant to sign any document, and their willingness to participation in the study is confirmed through the interviews. The recruitment and consent procedure was stated in the research protocol, for which we obtained an ethical approval from the Palestinian Health Research Council (04/06/2018, ref.: PHRC/HC/401/18), and an exemption from ethical review from the Regional Committee for Health Research Ethics (REK) - Section South East B, from Norway (05/06/2018, ref.: REK sør-øst 2018/1148) as health systems research falls outside of the mandate for ethical review in Norway.
