: This study was conducted following the Helsinki Declaration (World Medical Association, 2013). Ethical Guidelines for Nursing Research in Nordic Countries (Northern Nurses’ Federation, 2003) were also followed to ensure proper handling of data. Approval for the study was obtained from the Ethics Committee at Mid Sweden University. According to national law, the study did not need approval from the National Ethics Committee. All material was processed in accordance with the principles of the General Data Protection Regulations [CitationRef removed] and was stored such that it was inaccessible to any unauthorised parties. All participants were informed in writing and verbally about the aim of the study before giving written informed consent. All participants were informed that participation was voluntary and that at any time during the study, they could discontinue their participation without need for explanation. To retain confidentiality, the participants were anonymised by using a code when presenting quotes from the interviews, thus preventing identification of the participants through their statements [CitationRef removed].
