: University of Helsinki Ethical review board in humanities and social and behavioral sciences has reviewed Sinikka Hiekkala’s study “Lyhytkasvuisten toimintakyky ja haasteet esteettömyydessä ja yhdenvertaisuudessa (LYHTY)” in the board meeting on the 13th of January 2016. The review board finds that based on the received material the planned study follows the Ethical principles of research in the humanities and social and behavioral sciences issued by the Finnish Advisory Board on Research. (The University of Helsinki Ethical Review Board in the Humanities and Social and Behavioral Sciences: Statement 1/2016, 14.1.2016.) The Finnish name “Lyhytkasvuisten toimintakyky ja haasteet esteettömyydessä ja yhdenvertaisuudessa (LYHTY)” -study refers to the present study of short statured people with skeletal dysplasia.Written informed consent was obtained from all participants who answered the paper questionnaire. Those who replied to the electronic questionnaire confirmed their agreement to their replies to the questionnaire by a separate tick, preceded by the same text as in the consent document of the paper respondents.
