Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Institutional Ethics Committee of Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences convened on the 24th of November 2017 reviewed the project protocol with data sheets and consent forms presented by the co-investigator and granted ethical clearance on official letter (IRB-AIMS-2017-123) dated 24th of Nov 2017. A written informed consent was obtained from all the human subjects participated in the study before collecting the samples.Consent was not obtained from individuals whose tumor tissue was compared retrospectively. This was because the study was not directly affecting the study subjects in terms of diagnosis, management, or prognosis, as observed by the institutional ethics committee.
