: The <i>E. coli</i> strain collection analyzed in this study was isolated from the previously conducted GEMS study approved by the Mozambican National Bioethic Committee for Health (Comité Nacional de Bioética para Saúde IRB00002657) and by the Institutional Review Board of University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore, MD, USA.
