Ethics approval and consent to participate
: This project was submitted to and approved by Ethics and Research Committee of FAMERP (CAAE 32293014.0.0000.5415). The residents aged 10 years or older of the study area were invited to participate of the study. The invitation was preceded by an explanation of the objectives, the duration of the study (4 years) and the need to answer questionnaires and perform annual blood collections. Residents of legal age (18 years or older) who agreed to participate in the study signed an Informed Consent Form. For the people aged less than 18 years old, we asked for their agreement as well as for their parents’, who signed the Informed Consent Form as their legal representatives.
